Emmanuel Charismatic Prayer Group

The power of the Holy Spirit is present in the songs, praise, worship, spirit-filled teachings, and intercessory prayer of this Charismatic group.  Weekly meetings are held in the Church.  Whether the need is physical, spiritual, emotional, or relational, the healing touch of Our Lord benefits all those who attend.

 Purpose:   Provide healing through the Holy Spirit.

Marian Servants of the Word Incarnate

The Marian Servants of the Word Incarnate is an Association of the Christian Faithful of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Orlando.  The founding community is located in Clearwater, FL, in the Diocese of St. Petersburg.  The Marian Servants facilitate the Incarnation Prayer Group, teach and live by the Rule of Life: holiness, obedience and humble servant hood.  The primary charism is Spiritual Direction after Certification.

 Purpose:  Facilitate prayer; live by a Rule of Life that includes holiness, obedience and servant hood.

Spiritual Friendship Club

Parishioners with loving and open hearts meet on alternate Wednesday afternoons to talk, pray, and share their lives with developmentally disabled adults.  Parishioners first meet and prepare a catechetical program for presentation at the next session when the two groups come together.  This program is presented amid craft projects, Scripture readings, shared stories about Jesus in their lives, and a light snack.  New members, families and caregivers are always welcomed and encouraged to participate in this program.

  Purpose: Provide social and spiritual support to developmentally disabled adults.

  • Responsibilities:  Meet and prepare catechetical program for presentation at the next session; deliver program; facilitate craft projects integrated into program; also facilitate  Scripture readings , discussion, and other catechetical activities; prepare and serve a light snack.
  • Helpful Attributes:  Caring and compassion; teaching experience with the developmentally disabled.
  • Time Commitment:  Varies according to commitment.
  • Training Required:  Provided by Ministry

St. Therese Lay Carmelite Community 

This lay branch of the Carmelite Order provides a group of Catholic men and women with a way to live the Gospel in their secular lives.  A formation process is offered to those who wish to follow the Carmelite charism of contemplative prayer and a spirit of service to God and the human family.

  Purpose:  Follow the Carmelite charism of contemplative prayer and a spirit of service to God and the human family.

  • Helpful Attributes:  Love of prayer and commitment to Carmelite charism.
  • Time Commitment:  Varies
  • Training Required:  Provided by the Lay Carmelite Community
