We honored Evelyn Sheffield, who was recently awarded the Mary Mother of God Diocesan Medal by Bishop Wenski in recognition of her years of tireless work for the Church in Wildwood.

Congratulations, Evelyn!
The early birds get to sit next to the dessert table.
Father Leo joins the Currys for dinner.
Of course, every church dinner has its rowdy table. (That's why we put them in the corner.)  And vino was definely involved.
Luella and Kathleen wait for the dinner bell...
A happy table...must be the vino.
Max closes in for the kill...but Barbara resists buying the priceless chickenware.
Ed Occhipinti just had to have this rare Japanese vase once owned by the Emperor himself. At least that's what Deacon Dana claimed.
The parish's Council of Catholic Women once again sponsored the annual Spring Potluck Supper and Auction on Monday evening, May 19.

The gathering also provided an opportunity for the parish to celebrate Father Peter's 71st birthday. The women of CCW gave Father a gasoline card worth $100 as a birthday present.  That should be good for a tankful.

A good time was had by all. Everyone enjoyed the wonderful food as well as the entertaining auction conducted by our own low-key auctioneer, Maxine Cox. The proceeds of the auction will be contributed to the parish's building fund.

Our thanks to all who attended and to those who contributed items to the auction.

Father Peter thanks the CCW and admires his brithday cake. CCW President Diane McCarthy looks on.
Maxine in action...
Such a deal ! It's like having a sister in the business...
Deacon Walter can't resist an early peek at the food. (He claimed he was helping...)
Preparing the feast...
A more sedate, more refined table...
Max rests up among friends in anticipation of the big auction.
Checking in...
Julie (that other, better photographer) convinces Fr. Peter to sample the desserts.
